and the award goes to

Last week, while checking in on some of my favourite reads, I was making my way through The Bucket List, reading Sara’s post about The Versatile Blogger award she had just received. After learning seven random things about her as the award dictates, I began to check out the 15 bloggers she was passing the award on to…and to my surprise, one of them was me! I am super honoured and excited to be recognized and thought I would love to play along.
ONE. I. Love. French Fries. I can’t get enough of them. I really have a hard time saying no even though I know they’re not good for me. Would you like fries with that? Always yes. With salad or fries? Always fries.

TWO. I am afraid of bridges. Yes, it might sound strange but something about being on a bridge that, in my mind, could fall any second makes me weak in the knees. I think there’s something more to this fear like a fear of losing control or a fear of falling but until I get to the root of it, a fear of bridges is what I call it.

THREE. One day, when I have more money and most importantly, more dispensable income, I would like to treat myself to regular manicures and pedicures and a house full of fresh flowers. I know I don’t need either of these luxuries but they make me smile. Feeling beautiful is important and a little pampering wouldn’t hurt every once and awhile.

FOUR. I don’t like hot chocolate or chocolate milk. This really is unbelievable to a lot of people but I have just never liked either of them. I think there is actually such a thing as too much chocolate, however, I don’t expect anyone to agree with me.

FIVE. I am a huge sports fan. I’m usually a fairly quiet person but when I’m watching sports, I get overly excited and have a tendency to get loud.

SIX. I’ve emailed my mom (almost) every single day since I moved away from home. Even if it’s a one-liner-have-a-great-day email, I like feeling connected to her even though there is so much distance between us.

SEVEN. I can’t tell a joke for the life of me. If you told me a joke right now, and I tired to tell someone else, I would mess it up. Without a doubt. There’s really no point in me trying.

Thank you so much to Sara for this award!

Loved this! I totally agree with you on the house full of fresh flowers. It's such a nice way to enjoy the little things in life. Ironically though, it's such a luxury!

I love french fries too!!

Sometimes when given the choice of salad or fries I say salad because I don't want the person I'm with to judge me. I really want the fries though.

HI! Thanks for passing it along to me! Much appreciated. I will certainly have fun playing along (I am a big sucker for lists). I haven't met a fry I could pass up either--you are not alone!

Congrats on the award and thank you so much for passing it on to me! I'm so flattered. A note about the bridges -- avoid the one that goes into Newport, Rhode Island. It's huge and quite scary, even if you're not typically afraid of bridges. And what kind of french fries are your favorite? I'm addicted to sweet potato fries. Heavenly!

Thank you! I am so glad we have found each other's blogs and I am so touched that you thought of me for this award!

And I LOOOOOOOOVE French Fries also. I can't tell you how much I love them. It's pretty sad how often a week I eat them.

Congrats on the well deserved award sweetie!

Thanks so much lady! I am the SAME way about fries!

Aw, thank you so much! You're so sweet. :) I just found out one of my friends is in Vancouver right now! She landed yesterday, I think she's there for a week. I'm so jealous... But she is working as a nurse right now, and I am unemployed, so... ha! It makes sense!

I love fries too. How do you eat yours? Plain? Vinegar (white or malt?)? Ketchup? Salt? Pepper? I loooove ketchup, and if I think of it I'll put some pepper on. I change it up with what kind of vinegar I use, haha. (So much talk about fries!)

Bridges totally freak me out too. But I hate tunnels even more. AH. So scary.

I've never had a pedicure... I want one now though! Haha. It would be so nice to be able to have manicures and pedicures and have fresh flowers all of the time. :)

I love hot chocolate and chocolate milk, but they make me feel so sick after I drink them. I think I may be lactose intolerant. Blah.

I'm not a huge fan of sports, but when the Habs are playing I get SOOOOOO into it! Haha.

That's sweet you've e-mailed your mom every day. :)

I'm SO bad at telling jokes too! It's sad. Haha!

Thanks again for the award! I'm going to check out all of the blogs you tagged.

that is a great idea, i used to get weekly manicures and biweekly pedicures until i realized i was wasting $100 a month! now i do it as more of a once a month treat. I would love to have a house full of flowers too, i usually just pick up a $5 boquet at the supermarket :)

Aw, thank you so much for the award! Seriously, so sweet of you.

I also cannot tell a joke to save my life. In fact, the idea of telling a joke scares me. Lame, I know.

So great to learn a bit about you! I am TERRIBLE at jokes too... if it was funny, it wouldn't be by the time I'm done with it ;)

Happy Weekend!
